Min Hee Jin reveals she was invited to join dating show at SM Entertainment

Min Hee Jin said she was invited to appear on a blind date reality show while working at SM Entertainment.
Min Hee Jin, CEO of OOAK, made the disclosure in a pre-release interview clip released on July 25. The video, titled ‘Min Hee Jin Interview Part 1’, was posted to the YouTube channel ‘A Quiet Life’.
In the clip she reflected on her past work life at SM Entertainment and said that, despite being a producer who drew public attention, she preferred not to be in front of the camera and regularly received requests to join TV casts.
She surprised the interview set by revealing that she had been offered a spot as a participant on a dating show during her time at SM. The interviewer and journalist Kim Hye-ri checked again in disbelief.
Min Hee Jin confirmed with a smile:
Yes, as ridiculous as it sounds.
She added that, beginning in her mid-30s, offers kept coming in — from commercials to reality television — but she said she refused every one of them without exception.
Explaining why she turned those opportunities down, she cited her natural personality and feeling burdened by public attention at the time, and said she remained focused on her role as a creative director.
Recently, the former ADOR CEO Min, who is now the head of OOAK Records, held a press conference at the Seoul Foreign Correspondent’s Club.
