SEVENTEEN’s Vernon to start alternative service Aug. 20; DK enlists as active-duty Sept. 8
SEVENTEEN’s Vernon and DK will begin military enlistments: Vernon will start alternative service on August 20, and DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the Army on September 8.

A statement published on July 26 revealed the two members’ upcoming enlistment details.
Both will finish official group activities before their enlistment dates. The company asked fans not to attend the enlistment ceremony or Vernon’s alternative service location.
Vernon recently debuted in the subunit V8 with The8. DK debuted in the duo DK X Seungkwan in January of this year.
The two are among the last members of SEVENTEEN required to enlist.
