To add multiple layers in Photoshop, use the following steps:
Choose the layer you want to add a new layer to.
Drag the mouse over the layer’s thumbnail to select it.
Click on the Edit button at the bottom of the Layer palette, and then click on the New Layer button.
Type a name for your new layer, and then click on OK.
