One way to reduce the amount of desk space on a Mac is to set up a single monitor and use that as the desktop.
One desktop is used for work, and the other is used for personal use.
To close a desktop, open the taskbar and click on the three dots in the top left corner. Then, select “Close Desktop.
To see all desktops on a Mac, open the System Preferences window and click on “Desktop.” There you’ll see a list of all the desktops that are currently running on your computer. To add or remove a desktop from this list, just click on it and select “Add to Desktop.
There are a few reasons why your Mac might switch desktops. One reason is that it may be trying to use an older desktop that’s no longer supported by the Mac. Another reason is that your Mac may have been upgraded and new software has been installed, which may cause it to switch to a new desktop.
