2PM’s Lee Junho Discusses the Negative Impact of Being “Beast Idols”

Lee Junho opens up about serious injuries and past hardships as a 2PM idol

Lee Junho, soon to star in Netflix’s new series Cashero, dropped some harsh truths about his idol days during a YouTube interview with Lee Yong Jin on May 17.

The convo started when Lee Yong Jin recalled a funny 2PM moment at the 2009 SBS Gayo Daejeon where Junho lifted a member in the ending pose.

Junho looked back on their wild idol life saying,

“We did all sorts of things. We stacked members and flew around.”

Lee Yong Jin then asked about Junho’s current health and if he still feels pain working out.

That’s when Junho got real,

“My knees hurt a lot,” Junho confessed.

“When I debuted, I was 18 or 19 years old and did a lot of acrobatics. I got seriously injured doing acrobatics and had shoulder surgery. They made eight holes in my shoulder during the operation. I was so badly hurt I even had my spine broken four times before.”

He didn’t stop there,

“At that time, I just wore a back brace and performed on stage. I got injured so much that when I went to the hospital, they told me my physical age was 60. I heard that when I debuted.”

The shocking reveal caught Lee Yong Jin off guard,

“That would cause an uproar today. You must have aged a year or two more… The weather is minus 8 degrees, and I almost twisted my ankle on the way here today.”

Junho cracked a laugh and said,

“It’s cold outside now. My joints were creaking too.”

No filters here. Junho’s past idol hustle took a brutal toll on his body — fans are definitely feeling for him now.
