How To Vote On Shining Awards (Tutorial)
Voting is free, takes under a minute, and needs no account and no sign-up. Follow the steps below and your vote is counted instantly — plus you will learn how to make it count twice.

Every screen below is exactly what you will see on your phone. Nominee names are examples only.
Open the poll you want to vote in
Open the VOTE page and pick a poll — from the VOTE menu or the Ongoing Polls section on the homepage — then scroll past the intro text until you reach the voting card.
- Start on the vote hub — every open poll is listed there.
- Each poll lives inside its own article — scroll down past the intro text until you reach the voting card.
- The card header shows a live countdown to the closing date and a toolbar: Search · Stats · Info · Help.
- Tap Info any time to see the total votes, the closing date, and this poll’s exact cooldown.
Dismiss the welcome card
On your first visit a short welcome screen explains the 2× Vote Power system in three icons. Read it once, then tap “Got it, let me vote”.

- It will not appear again on your next visits from the same device.
Find your nominee
Search by name or group, scroll the full nominee list, or open a shared nominee link that arrives with them already selected.
- Search — tap the Search button in the toolbar and type a name or group. The list filters as you type.
- Scroll — the list is ordered so you can browse everyone.
- Direct link — a shared nominee link opens the poll with that nominee already selected.
Tap VOTE to open the voting popup
Press the VOTE button on your nominee’s row. The popup shows their photo, their live vote total, the 2× Vote Power banner and the security check.
- 2× Vote Power banner — “Share on social media below to unlock 2× Vote Power!”
- Security check — the quick “Verify you are human” box.
- VOTE NOW — dimmed at first; it activates the moment the check passes.
Complete the security check
Tick “Verify you are human”. It takes a second or two, and when it passes the VOTE NOW button becomes tappable.
- Wait for the green tick. The VOTE NOW button lights up and becomes tappable.
- If the box keeps spinning, that is almost always a slow connection — see Troubleshooting.
- Turn off any VPN, proxy or private relay before you start; they can make the check fail.
Share to unlock 2× Vote Power
Share your nominee from the buttons at the bottom of the popup, then come back to the same tab. Your next vote then counts as two votes instead of one.
- Tap Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE or Copy Link and post or send it.
- Come back to this same tab. The boost only registers when you return.
- The banner lights up: “Success! You unlocked 2× Vote Power!” and the vote buttons show a ⚡2× badge.
Press VOTE NOW and wait for the confirmation
Tap VOTE NOW and wait for the success screen: a green check reading “+1 vote added” — or +2 when the boost was active.
- A green check with “+1 vote Added to [nominee]” — or +2 if your 2× boost was active.
- A rally panel showing your nominee’s current rank and the gap to the next place.
- A line reading “Next vote available in 1h” and a short countdown to the results screen.
Check the ranking and save your certificate
Open the live standings to see every nominee’s position, total and share of the vote, or save a shareable image of your vote.
- VIEW RANKING opens the live standings: position, total votes and share of the vote for every nominee. #1 gets the highlighted champion card.
- Save Certificate generates a shareable image of your vote that you can post to your story.
- BACK TO VOTE returns you to the nominee list at any time.
Come back in one hour and vote again
Each person may cast one vote every hour, per poll. Let the cooldown timer run out, refresh the page, and the vote buttons come back.
- Let the countdown run to zero, then refresh the page to get the vote buttons back.
- Every hour you can share again for another 2× boost.
- The exact cooldown for each poll is listed under Info → Vote cooldown.
How 2× Vote Power works
Sharing your nominee turns your next vote into two votes. It is free, repeatable every vote cycle, and takes about ten seconds.
Tap VOTE on your nominee. The share buttons sit at the bottom of that popup.
Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE — or Copy Link and paste it anywhere.
Come back to the same poll tab. The banner unlocks and a ⚡2× badge appears.
Press VOTE NOW. The success screen shows +2 instead of +1.
Voting rules at a glance
These rules keep the results honest for every fandom.
Per person, per poll. The exact interval is shown under Info → Vote cooldown.
Bots, VPNs, proxies and suspicious traffic are blocked automatically. Vote from a normal connection.
Once the countdown hits zero, voting locks and only the final ranking stays visible.
Voting is open to everyone. There is no sign-up, no login, and no email needed.
A share boosts your next vote only. Share again in the next cycle for another boost.
A vote counts only when the success screen or cooldown timer appears. Do not close early.
Troubleshooting
The same answers are always available inside the poll — tap Help in the toolbar.
The VOTE NOW button is greyed out
The button switches on only when two things are true: you have opened a nominee’s vote popup, and the security check inside it has finished.
Pick your nominee first, let the check complete, and the button lights up.
The security check won’t load or keeps spinning
This is almost always a slow or restricted connection — not a block. Work through these in order:
- Use a stronger connection. Switch to Wi-Fi or better signal; the check can time out on slow 3G.
- Turn off Low Power Mode. Battery saver throttles loading and can stall the check.
- Open in Safari or Chrome. Avoid the in-app browser inside Instagram, TikTok or Facebook — use the ••• menu → “Open in browser”.
- Pause VPN and blockers. Disable any VPN, proxy, ad blocker or content blocker for this page, then refresh and reopen the popup.
It says I can’t vote yet, but I’m sure I didn’t vote
The cooldown is also counted per network connection. On busy Wi-Fi or mobile networks many fans share one connection, so someone else may have used that slot.
- Let the timer finish. If a countdown is showing, it clears on its own.
- Switch your connection. Turn Wi-Fi off and use mobile data instead (or the other way round), then reload.
- Refresh and retry. Reopen the poll, pick your nominee again and submit.
Voting is blocked on my network or device
Privacy tools can hide your connection in a way that looks like bot or proxy traffic, so the vote gets refused. Clear them in this order:
- Turn off VPN and proxy — including any “private”, “secure” or “relay” network mode.
- Disable iCloud Private Relay. On iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → Private Relay → off.
- Drop ad and content blockers for this page.
- Reload and vote — reopen the poll, pick your nominee and submit again.
The security check never appears at all on my network
Some networks, regions, and company or school firewalls restrict the provider that powers the check, so it cannot load there at all — it is not your device.
Try a different connection: switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, join another network, or vote from a different location, then reopen the poll.
My vote — or my 2× bonus — didn’t seem to count
Do not close the popup too early. Wait for the success state, the cooldown message, or the updated badge.
For a 2× vote, make sure the unlocked “2× Vote Power” state is showing before you press VOTE NOW. Voting before it unlocks counts as a normal vote.
The results look unchanged after I voted
On large, fast-moving polls the numbers shift constantly and pages are cached for speed. Refresh the ranking view once after your vote is confirmed to load the newest totals and positions.
Quickest fix when something feels stuck
Most temporary glitches clear with a clean retry:
- Refresh the page.
- Reopen the poll and pick your nominee again.
- Complete the popup security check from start to finish.
- Press VOTE NOW and wait for the confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
Is voting free? Do I need an account?
Voting is completely free and no account, login or email is required. Just open the poll and vote.
How often can I vote?
Once every hour, per poll. You can vote in as many different polls as you like within the same hour — the cooldown is counted per poll.
Can I vote for more than one nominee?
Each vote goes to one nominee. In your next hourly cycle you are free to support someone else.
Can I use 2× Vote Power more than once?
Yes. The boost applies to your next eligible vote only, but you can share again in every later vote cycle to earn it repeatedly.
Does voting from several devices help?
Voting is limited per person, per device and per network. The reliable way to add votes is to keep voting hourly and to rally more real fans with the share buttons.
How do I know my vote was counted?
You will see the green confirmation with “+1 vote added” (or +2), usually followed by a cooldown message. Open the ranking to see the updated total.
Can I still vote after the poll ends?
No. Once the poll reaches its closing time, voting locks and only the final results remain visible. The closing date is shown in the poll’s Info panel and in the countdown.
Where can I see all the current standings?
Tap VIEW RANKING inside any poll for that poll’s live standings, or open the Leaderboard to see how the polls compare.
