46-Year-Old Leading Singer Reveals Weight Loss of 10kg (22 Pounds) in 2 Months

Sung Si Kyung is raising eyebrows with his extreme diet confession.

The singer posted on March 20 about his strict food routine. For a month, he ate only eggs, sweet potato, flounder sashimi, and supplements. He kept intense workout sessions, training up to three times a day while filming A Gourmet Friend’s Restaurant.

“I didn’t even count the one hour of walking and running cardio I do at night. During filming for A Gourmet Friend’s Restaurant, I worked out three times a day. For the first month, I basically lived on eggs, sweet potatoes, flounder sashimi, and supplements,” Sung said alongside his workout log.

He started at 95kg (209.4 lbs) on January 6 and dropped to 85.3kg (188.1 lbs) by March 15. That’s a 9.7kg (21.4 lbs) loss in just two months. He rarely rested, playing tennis and lifting weights regularly. His BMI hit 24.46, which is within the normal range—a big deal for a 46-year-old.

Sung Si Kyung explained,
“I’d been living as an overweight middle-aged man for too long, and at this age and weight, becoming a cosmetics model felt a bit shameless. But I saw it as a good opportunity and decided to put in the effort. People keep asking if I’m sick, but I was the one who wasn’t healthy before. Now I’ve finally reached a normal weight for the first time, so from here on, I’ll manage myself well and take better care of both my body and mind.”
