Lisa of BLACKPINK Set to Release Documentary on Her Solo Career

On May 30, Sony Music Vision held an exciting event in Los Angeles, where it announced an upcoming solo documentary film featuring BLACKPINK’s Lisa. This documentary is set to explore her life over the past year following her solo debut, offering fans a unique perspective on her independent artistry and vision.

Fans can expect a close look at various aspects of Lisa’s life, including behind-the-scenes footage from the creation of her debut album, “Rockstar”, her historic first performance at Coachella, her foray into acting, and personal family moments that she has chosen to share.

The project is directed by Soo Kim, known for her previous work on Apple TV Plus’s documentary series, Welcome to K-Pop: Idol Stories. She expressed her motivations for this film, stating, > "I wanted to make sure Lisa knew that so many fans want to see who she is off stage.”

Kim also hinted at some exciting revelations, saying, > “There were so many surprising moments while working with her. Audiences will get a glimpse into unexpected stories and a world of Lisa that hasn’t been seen before.”

Lisa responded enthusiastically, mentioning in her official statement, > “I feel truly lucky to be able to capture these special moments on film and share them with my fans.”

During the Los Angeles showcase, attendees were treated to previews of select scenes. However, specifics like the title and release date haven’t been disclosed yet.

In the meantime, Lisa is gearing up for the ‘2025 BLACKPINK World Tour – Memories,’ which kicks off at Goyang Stadium on July 5–6.
