BOYNEXTDOOR Leads Japanese Summer Music Shows Before New Single Release

BOYNEXTDOOR is making serious waves in Japan this summer with a string of appearances on the country’s biggest music shows. The group kicked off their run at Fuji TV’s 2025 FNS Music Festival Summer on July 2nd and followed up just days later on Nippon TV’s THE MUSIC DAY 2025 on July 5th. They’re not done yet, either—their next stop is TBS’s ONGAKUNOHI on July 19th.

This lineup of back-to-back invitations highlights just how much the group is connecting with Japanese audiences. Only the most popular acts get these kinds of slots, and BOYNEXTDOOR’s steady rise is clear proof they’re one of the hottest K-pop names in the region right now.

Their success in Japan didn’t happen overnight. Since last year, BOYNEXTDOOR has been a familiar face on major Japanese TV specials. They performed on TV Asahi’s Music Station SUPER LIVE 2024 and appeared on TBS’s CDTV Live! Live! during year-end events, proving they’ve got serious staying power. Summer 2025 continues that trend, with the group dominating Japanese airwaves and confirming their strong foothold in the market.

What’s exciting is that their buzz started well before their official Japanese debut. Even before they dropped their debut Japanese single AND in July 2024, magazines were already putting them on the covers because of all the anticipation around their talent. Soon after, they hit major festivals like SUMMER SONIC 2024, which helped boost their profile even more.

Then there’s their first solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’. Instead of just hitting a couple of spots, they toured across multiple cities in Japan, steadily growing their fanbase. Their encore shows got upgraded from smaller venues to arenas, where tickets sold out in no time, showing they’re not just a studio success—they’re a big deal live.

Right on the heels of all this, they’re gearing up to release their second Japanese single, BOYLIFE, on August 20th, keeping the momentum going.

Meanwhile, fans in Korea have something to look forward to as well. The group will close out their first solo tour with BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ FINAL at the KSPO DOME in Seoul from July 25th to 27th. This will be their first-ever performance at such a large venue, and it’s expected to be a major event marking their growth as a live act both at home and abroad.
