ENHYPEN’s Jay Teams Up with Singer-Songwriter MAX for New Song

ENHYPEN’s Jay has teamed up with American singer-songwriter MAX on a fresh new track titled “Love Insane,” which came out globally on July 18. The song features both artists delivering intense and powerful vocals that bring the energetic track to life.

“Love Insane” stands out as an upbeat, rhythmic tune with a storyline about a guy who’s slowly going crazy from love. Its vibrant, punchy beats are driven by lively drums, bold synths, and dynamic brass sounds, creating an infectious energy that really sticks with you. Interestingly, MAX isn’t new to working with ENHYPEN, having previously helped write their song “Too Close.”

Jay opened up about the collaboration through Belift Lab, saying:

"MAX is an artist with a wide musical spectrum who inspires me in many ways. I’m happy to challenge myself with a new sound through this great song." Jay

He also shared a bit about trying something different musically:

"I usually show a rock-oriented musical style. This time, I focused on delivering high notes in a clean and soft tone within a groovy melodic line. Please look forward to this fresh transformation." Jay

Known for his vocal range—from smooth low notes to soaring highs—Jay continues to prove his versatility not just with vocals but behind the scenes as well. In ENHYPEN’s sixth mini album, released just last month, he contributed to producing, lyric writing, and even guitar playing.

Jay’s collaborations stretch beyond K-pop circles too. Last year, he featured on the 30th anniversary single ‘Whodunit – GLAY × JAY (ENHYPEN)’ from legendary Japanese rock band GLAY, where he was involved both as a featured artist and in writing Japanese lyrics.
