Stray Kids’ Fans Face Intense Backlash for Targeting Fellow Idol

NCT WISH’s Sakuya caught in nickname drama with Stray Kids’ I.N. fans

Mega Coffee sparked controversy by calling NCT WISH’s Sakuya “baby bread” in a recent birthday event notice. The coffee brand used the nickname as Sakuya loves bread and has a bread-related moniker.

Stray Kids fans blew up the comments, insisting “baby bread” belongs exclusively to their senior idol, I.N. After the backlash, Mega Coffee deleted and reuploaded the post without the nickname.

Fans argued over the nickname’s ownership, with some asking nicely for the brand to change it to avoid drama.

“I understand that Sakuya is cute, but I don’t think it’s right to use a nickname that has been officially used by a senior idol for many years. ‘Baby bread’ is I.N.’s and Sakuya can be Sakubbang. Please change the post so that this cute idol won’t get criticized. I’m saying this in the nicest way possible.”

Others called out the harsh attacks from STAYs on NCT WISH fans after the brand fixed the post.

“Why is everyone attacking…having the same nickname is a sensitive subject. I am also sensitive about it; since the brand has fixed the post, let’s stop talking about it. I’m embarrassed to see STAYs attacking NCT WISH.”

Some fans accused NCT WISH of using I.N.’s nickname to gain popularity.

“‘Baby Bread’ is a nickname used in K-Pop for Stray Kids’ I.N. Don’t use this nickname for other idols to gain popularity.”

Meanwhile, netizens criticized the fanwar. Many found the attacks over a nickname petty and excessive.

“What’s so great about ‘baby bread’? It’s not even a creative name, what’s wrong with them?”

“Such losers…what are they doing.”

“It’s weird that they are attacking the account just because of a nickname.”

“I really don’t get the K-Pop fandom…”

“I don’t get it…they really have nothing better to do.”

“So overboard…no one even knows about it.”

The “baby bread” nickname dispute is heating up among fandoms after Mega Coffee’s post stirred the pot. Fans continue debating as the coffee brand steps back from the controversy.
