BTS’s RM sparks controversy over religious remarks in recent interview

BTS’s RM is facing intense reactions after addressing religion during a Harper’s BAZAAR Korea interview for the September 2025 issue.

When asked about meaningful phrases, RM shared two that stuck with him: “Everything happens for a reason” and “God always give us challenges according to our capacity.”

These statements caught fans off guard. RM had previously identified as atheist in his first mixtape interview. Both phrases closely echo passages from Christianity and Islam, leading many to speculate a shift in his beliefs.
