Tracing Seungri: BTS V’s Private Account Allegations Gain Widespread Attention

BTS V is facing fresh controversy over an alleged private Instagram account linked to him.

The drama blew up after a Twitter user posted a screenshot claiming the account @tebrov belonged to V. The catch? @tebrov supposedly follows former BIGBANG member and convicted criminal Seungri. This sparked backlash online and led fans to dig into the account’s origins.

The account, @tebrov, first appeared in 2021 during dating rumors about V and Joanna Chun, daughter of Paradise Group president Phillip Jeon. Joanna reportedly followed @tebrov, which fueled beliefs the account was V’s private one. The name “tebrov” was thought to combine V’s real name, Taehyung (“tebro”), with his stage name.

The account was also tied to some of V’s activities on Weverse, which some claimed as proof it was him.

However, those dating rumors were spread by infamous YouTuber Sojang, who is currently getting sued by multiple idols, including BTS members.

Fans quickly pushed back on the @tebrov claims this time around, saying the screenshots came from a fake account made to fuel drama.

“I never thought of defending a man, but this is completely false. The screenshot is from a fake account created to spread dating rumors. They suspected it was Gasahara aka Sojang, who also spread rumors about other idols. Please stop spreading lies.” — Twitter user @pocktlobe

“debunked made up sht spread by jimin x jungkook’s ajummas shippers on dcs. mind u it was a non sense made up with no proof other than that acc with 2k ‘followers’ following joanna to force dating rumors of v and her that time which also didn’t work out and was denied and sued” — Twitter user @justthinking005

“bro i don’t even go here but this account was made by sojang i rmbr bc they are in the case articles when kpop artists sued her on separate occasions (including V), not sure why international kpop stans are using the same files aren’t you afraid to get sued?” — Twitter user @delo_mama5371

BTS’s V

This is the latest issue after V already faced backlash over his behavior at a recent W Korea event.

For now, no official confirmation has come about the @tebrov account. Fans remain divided, with many calling the whole thing a smear campaign by Sojang and haters.
