SM Entertainment Alleges EXO-CBX Damaged Fellow Members in New Exposé

EXO-CBX is facing a fresh controversy as SM Entertainment hits back hard at their recent statement.

The agency accused the trio of twisting facts and hurting EXO as a whole. SM said the lawsuit settlement and group activities are “entirely separate” issues.

SM claimed trust between the two sides is “severely damaged” due to ongoing legal fights. They said this conflict has badly affected EXO, fans, and other members.

The excessive number of disputes has significantly damaged the trust between both sides. In addition, the harm done to EXO as a team — as well as the pain caused to fans and fellow members — has been substantial.

SM pushed back on EXO-CBX’s claim that they accepted all terms during an October 2 mediation. The company said the members actually filed a formal objection two weeks later on October 16.

The agency also detailed their stance on the revenue issue. SM said they only asked the three members to pay 10% of their individual activity revenue, as agreed on June 18, 2023. This payment hasn’t been fulfilled yet.

SM urged EXO-CBX to “first carry out the terms of the existing agreement and make sincere efforts to restore trust.”

Hello, this is SM Entertainment.
We would like to address the statement released by Byun Baekhyun, Kim Jongdae, and Kim Minseok (hereafter referred to as “the three members”).
Our company has clearly stated that the agreement to end the legal dispute and the matter of participating in group activities are two separate issues.
First, regarding the dispute resolution — SM has prevailed in all disputes up to this point. The only thing we asked of the three members was to pay 10% of their individual activity revenue, as stipulated in the agreement dated June 18, 2023. However, this has not yet been fulfilled.
Furthermore, regarding participation in group activities, the excessive number of disputes has significantly damaged the trust between both sides. In addition, the harm done to EXO as a team — as well as the pain caused to fans and fellow members — has been substantial. Therefore, it would be only natural for the three members to first carry out the terms of the existing agreement and make sincere efforts to restore trust.
However, contrary to their claim that they accepted all of SM’s proposed terms and clearly expressed their intent to settle following the second mediation session on October 2, the three members actually filed an objection first on October 16. We deeply regret today’s announcement from the three members, which distorts these facts.
SM Entertainment will do its utmost to support EXO’s activities, set to begin in December.
Thank you.

The situation ramps up as EXO’s comeback looms in December. Fans remain divided as the legal drama drags on.
