Fans Criticize HYBE Amid BTS Jungkook’s Six-Hour Live Stream

BTS’s Jungkook is facing controversy after a recent live broadcast.

On November 3, Jungkook did a live stream for nearly six hours called “Hello, This Is Ian.” He played games, sang live, watched YouTube videos, and even did a mukbang with over 11.1 million viewers tuning in.

The mood shifted when a live commercial for J-Hope’s solo concert popped up. Jungkook looked at the screen and said:

“I’ll be able to do a solo concert someday, too, right?”

He then sighed deeply.

That one sentence sparked a huge backlash from fans, who quickly blamed HYBE for no solo concert plans for Jungkook yet.

Fan reactions flooded social media:

“Give us Jungkook’s solo concert, you HYBE idiots.”

“What has HYBE done in the past two years? Were you just playing?”

“Jungkook hasn’t done a solo concert yet? That’s shocking.”

“I guess he said that because he wants to do it.”

“Why aren’t they planning one for him when he wants to do it? It’s so unfortunate that he went to the military at the peak of his career.”

“What was the point of sending him to the military early if they are going to let him rest like that? The perfect timing was lost.”

“Please hold Jungkook’s solo concert all year.”

“Why can’t he do it now? Doesn’t he have a lot of time now?”

Jungkook joined the military in December 2023 and was discharged in June 2025. Since then, he has been focusing on group activities with BTS, not solo work. He recently guested with J-Hope at Jin’s encore concert.
