How BTS Is Addressing The Increase In Hostility Toward Their Members

BTS is facing heavy backlash over multiple controversies around members’ recent activities and personal lives.

The controversy started with V’s collab with Coca-Cola and RM, J-Hope, and V’s conduct at the Love Your W event. Then, Jungkook’s multiple dating rumors went viral, sparking huge criticism.

Jimin addressed his own dating scandal involving actress Song Da Eun during a Weverse live stream on October 2. He said:

“I’m living with the realization that being a good adult and living a good life aren’t easy. I’m just pretending to be an adult.”

Fans slammed Jimin for being avoidant and not directly confronting the controversy.

Jungkook faced accusations of being a womanizer after a string of live streams. Fans say he reacted by turning off TikTok comments, making his follow list private, and disabling tagging.

At the end of October, RM was called out for “hypocrisy” following a speech at the APEC CEO Summit 2025. Dating rumors with Red Velvet’s Seulgi also surfaced in early November.

RM did a surprise live on November 13, hinting at the backlash:

“Let’s just stay focused on between you and us. There are too many things going around out there, but I just want you not to pay attention.”
