Actor Known as Viral “BTS Jin Lookalike” Addresses His High-Profile Dating Controversy

Kim Mu Jun faces fallout from Japanese dating scandal rumors
The controversy started in April 2025 when Japanese actress Mei Nagano was caught up in a huge infidelity scandal. Reports from Japan’s Shūkan Bunshun claimed Mei was cheating on her partner, actor Kei Tanaka, and also dating a Korean co-star.
Because Kim Mu Jun starred with Nagano in the J-drama Caster, which aired right as the scandal broke, many fans speculated he was the Korean actor involved.
His agency quickly denied the rumors, calling them baseless and saying Kim Mu Jun and Mei Nagano were just “close co-stars.”
Soon after, Kim Mu Jun opened up in a recent interview about what the experience taught him.
Every action I take can either harm or benefit me as a public figure. If it benefits me, I’m grateful, but if it causes harm, then I believe it’s truly wrong. That experience made me realize how careful and cautious I need to be about every action and every expression I show. Regardless of what the issue was, it taught me how I should live my life moving forward.

As the situation settled, he clarified that he doesn’t drink, smoke, or have any tattoos or piercings. He promised to avoid all trouble and lead a clean, ethical life.
Of course, you have to follow the law, and I believe you shouldn’t do anything that could be ethically or morally problematic. People around me always tell me that ‘becoming a good person comes first.’ I can’t really drink, I don’t smoke, and I don’t have piercings or tattoos. If I just keep living this way, I don’t think there’ll be anything problematic. I always remind myself to cherish the people around me and take good care of them.

This scandal briefly cast a shadow over Kim Mu Jun’s growing fame as the “BTS Jin doppelganger” and Dynamite Kiss star.
