Korean Hotels Criticized for High Prices During BTS Tour Dates

BTS is facing controversy over crazy hotel price surges ahead of their Busan concerts.

The controversy began when fans posted screenshots showing accommodation prices in Busan jumping more than 10 times the usual rate during BTS’s June 12-13, 2026 concert dates.

Rooms that typically cost under ₩150,000 KRW (about $103 USD) per night have spiked to ₩1.48 million KRW (about $1,010 USD) or higher on travel sites.

One fan on theqoo posted a direct price comparison showing the extreme jump.

“It’s nearly impossible for both domestic and international ARMYs to attend without huge financial burden,” one fan said on the forum.

As the concert dates approach, many debates are going on about whether these price hikes are just a supply-and-demand effect or outright price gouging.

No response from hotels or BTS’s agency yet.
