Flop? Highly Anticipated Show Receives 0% Rating Despite Star-Studded Cast

Show Me The Money 12 opens to shockingly low ratings!

The iconic hip-hop audition show kicked off its 12th season on January 15, 2026, but fans and producers are seeing a rough start. Nielsen reported the premiere grabbed only a 0.6% viewership rating—half of what Show Me The Money 11 scored with a 1.2% rating for its debut.

This is a major drop for a series that began in 2012 with a big buzz and has launched famous names like Loco, last season’s winner. The show returned after a three-year break, hyped with producer line-ups featuring BLOCK B’s Zico, Jay Park, Loco himself, Grey, and Crush. But the ratings say otherwise.

The initial try-outs have made noise online, but that hasn’t translated into viewers tuning in. Usually, ratings start low and rise, but fans are watching closely to see if SMTM 12 can turn things around.

No official statement yet from Mnet or the producers as this unfolds.

The question now: Will SMTM 12 recover or continue to slide? Time will tell.
