Ma Dong Seok shocked fans by bringing his wife, actress Ye Jung Hwa, back on TV after a 9-year break.
The couple appeared together on the January 23, 2026, episode of tvN’s I Am Boxer. It was Ye Jung Hwa’s first TV appearance since 2017. She came out to support her husband during the championship match between boxers Guk Seung Joon and Lee Chae Hyun.
Ye Jung Hwa greeted the audience and flashed finger hearts, grabbing everyone’s attention.

The couple has a 17-year age gap. Ma Dong Seok was born in 1971, Ye Jung Hwa in 1988. They began dating publicly in 2016.
