Reasons ARMY Won’t Hear Fan-Favorite BTS Songs “Home” Or “Love Maze” Performed On The ARIRANG World Tour Or In The Future

BTS faces fallout as songs linked to composer Bobby Jung are quietly cut from concert releases.
The controversy began in May 2020 when Bobby Jung, aka Jung Dae Wook of indie band Autumn Vacation, was accused of illegally filming and sexually assaulting a 20-year-old aspiring singer he was dating. The victim tragically died by suicide. Jung pleaded not guilty, and the first case was dismissed.
Soon after, a second alleged victim filed charges in February 2021. Prosecutors merged the cases. Jung was indicted under the Sexual Violence Crime Penalty Act.
The Seoul Western District Court sentenced Jung to one year in prison for filming a nude woman without consent. He also received 40 hours of sexual violence education and a five-year ban from working with children, youth, or disabled people.
“Jung filmed victim ‘A’s body illegally without consent, and the victim is experiencing significant mental shock and humiliation. While the victim’s side is requesting severe punishment for Jung’s action, Jung did not demonstrate an attitude of reflection. Taking into account that Jung did not distribute this footage to anyone, and that he has no similar offense, Jung is hereby sentenced to 1 year in prison.”

ARMYs first noticed the impact of this scandal with the recent release of BTS – PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE in THE US DVD. Several fan favorites like “Love Maze,” “HOME,” “Love Myself,” “I’m Fine,” “Filter,” “Dream Glow,” and “134340” were either removed or censored on the DVD. Notably, Jung contributed to the songwriting on all these tracks.
“Love maze & HOME have been deleted from PTD on stage
The songs that might not be performed in concerts anymore: Love Myself, Love Maze, I’m Fine, HOME, Filter, Dream Glow, & 134340
Due to the artist Jung Bobby credited in the writing was sentenced to prison for sexual assault”

“you know what’s funny about this whole discourse? even hybe/bighit disagrees with you all. multiple beloved songs were taken off of the ptd dvd because of an awful man on the songwriting credits. even they decided that associating with bad people is bad.”

Fans are disappointed but also agree Jung should be held accountable. The sad side effect: many people who worked on these songs are affected by the fallout.
As BTS gears up for their biggest tour ever, it’s clear that fans will likely miss live performances of “Love Maze,” “HOME,” and Jimin’s solo track “Filter.”
