Min Hee Jin Alleges Family of NewJeans Member Involved in Tampering Claims

Min Hee Jin is facing major controversy over NewJeans contract and tampering allegations.

On January 28, former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin’s lawyer, Kim Seon Woong of Jiam Law Firm, held a press conference in Seoul. Min Hee Jin did not attend due to issues with NewJeans members’ families.

Min Hee Jin is being sued for ₩10 billion KRW (~$6.99 million USD) for allegedly causing the termination of NewJeans’ exclusive contract and tampering with the group.

Min’s side denies the tampering claims and shifts blame.

The lawyer says Min Hee Jin wanted the best for NewJeans after conflicts between HYBE and ADOR were supposedly resolved. The current concern is ADOR trying to break up NewJeans by terminating Danielle’s contract alone and dragging families into lawsuits.

“ADOR is attempting to disband NewJeans by terminating Danielle’s contract alone and is continuing to exploit the members’ families in the lawsuit against Min and HYBE. We are concerned about NewJeans’ dissolution and have no choice but to state our position.”

New details also accuse the family of a NewJeans member and a businessperson of conspiring in “stock market manipulation.” Min’s side claims HYBE management knew about this plot to use Min and the members.

Regarding the 2024 dispute between Min Hee Jin and HYBE, the lawyer says it was just a difference in opinion — not tampering with NewJeans.
