Kim Seon Ho Encounters Backlash From Several Brands Over Tax Allegations

Kim Seon Ho is facing fallout in the ad world amid tax evasion allegations.
The controversy began when a media outlet revealed Kim was running a one-person corporation separate from his agency. This led to accusations that it was a paper company used to dodge taxes.
Soon after, Kim’s agency, Fantagio, apologized and explained the situation. They said Kim stopped all operations under the one-person corporation. He moved all his earnings back under Fantagio as an individual.
Fantagio also said Kim returned all corporate assets like cards, family salary payments, and vehicles. He paid extra personal income taxes beyond the corporate taxes already covered. The company is in the final process of dissolving the corporation.
Despite this, the damage seems to be spreading in his endorsements.
Fashion brand Beanpole scrubbed Kim’s teaser video for their 2026 Spring Collection from social media recently.
Now, skincare brand La Roche-Posay is also stepping back. They picked Kim as a model in 2021 but took down related ads following his personal life controversy. The ads returned briefly but appear removed again. Industry insiders link this latest move to the ongoing tax issue.
Networks and streaming platforms tied to Kim’s upcoming projects are quietly monitoring the backlash.
