Byun Yo Han Reacts to Marriage Reports Involving Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany

Byun Yo Han opened up about marriage plans with Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany at the Netflix film Pavane press event on June 12.
The actor spoke at the Megabox COEX in Seoul alongside co-stars Go Ah Sung, Moon Sang Min, and director Lee Jong Pil.
Pavane is a youth romance about three people healing and finding love together through a unique, delicate lens.
Byun Yo Han explained why he joined the project:
“I liked the director’s work, and I received the script for Pavane around 8pm. They said it was a romance. I asked, ‘Is this a musical?’ but it wasn’t. I read it twice right then. This adapted work was very special. I was convinced that no one but the director could reinterpret this project. Go Ah Sung and Moon Sang Min are actors I deeply admire, so I decided to participate.”
He also described his character “Yo Han”:
“He is a friend with complex emotions. In the film, he goes beyond simply expressing his feelings honestly and speaks metaphorically to be even more honest. But it’s difficult to say those things, so I often talked with the director. I acted in a way that suited me—like being hurt but as if not hurt, having loved but as if not having loved, knowing but as if not knowing, not knowing but as if knowing. That’s how I portrayed him.”
The spotlight grew brighter after Byun Yo Han’s relationship with Tiffany came out last December. The couple met on the Disney+ series Uncle Samsik, which dropped in May 2024.
When asked about marriage, he joked:
“That’s not a light question at all, it’s very difficult”
Then got serious:
“First, I’m grateful. That’s why you should watch Pavane. It’s about giving and receiving love. I want to meet audiences worldwide through this film and share what love is. I will live well, just as everyone has supported us.”
The remarks earned applause at the event. Fans eagerly await the Netflix release to see Byun Yo Han’s new role and hear more about his future with Tiffany.
