Former LE SSERAFIM Member Kim Garam Embarks on New Project, Generating Interest

Kim Garam is back in the spotlight after controversies forced her out of LE SSERAFIM.

The former idol started a new chapter as a YouTuber. On March 13, she launched her channel “garamonly” and dropped her first video, ep. 01.

In it, Kim Garam visits a practice room and says:

“Hello. The reason I started this channel is because I wanted to record my acting videos, practice sessions, or just share my daily life.”
“I’ve never done anything like this before, so it’s really awkward, but please understand and I’ll give it a try. Fighting!”

The video shows her studying acting, attending lessons, and practicing guitar. She shares a guitar performance and encourages viewers to follow along.

The controversy started before her May 2022 LE SSERAFIM debut when school violence accusations surfaced. Kim Garam’s team denied the claims, calling them “malicious slander,” and said she was a victim of school violence. They planned legal action against the accuser.

Despite this, more allegations and official warnings followed. Her side admitted to disciplinary actions but denied any physical assault. They explained the response was to protest inappropriate actions by the accuser’s side.

“During this debut process, Kim Garam faced attacks fueled by numerous rumors, causing psychological hardship. After discussion, she decided to temporarily halt activities to focus on healing her hurt feelings,” her side said.

She stopped activities just 18 days after debuting. By July, she terminated her contract with Source Music and left the group.

After leaving LE SSERAFIM, Kim Garam opened a personal social media account in May, sparking comeback rumors. She was also linked to an exclusive deal with Moden Berry Korea, but the company denied the rumors as “groundless.” They said they met her but chose not to sign a contract.
