BTS’s V is facing backlash after his recent performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at New York’s Guggenheim Museum.

Instead of performing their new single “SWIM” from the Arirang album, BTS chose to showcase their hip-hop track “2.0.” While the group’s vocals and choreography were praised, V’s facial expressions and stage presence quickly sparked controversy online.

Clips focusing on V’s attempts to look “cool” went viral, with many netizens calling his expressions awkward and cringeworthy. Some fans said his behavior overshadowed the performance.
