ENHYPEN Updates Fan Chant Guide, Sparks Major Fan Backlash

ENHYPEN is facing backlash after announcing changes to their fan chants that exclude member Heeseung.
The controversy began when Belift Lab posted an official notice about updates to ENHYPEN’s cheering methods. The agency asked fans, known as ENGENEs, to check the changes and support the group’s performances with the new fan chants.
“Announcement regarding ENHYPEN’s cheering method changes
Hello, this is Belift Lab. We would like to inform you of the changes to ENHYPEN’s fan chants. We would appreciate it if ENGENEs would check the updates, changes, and join us for the performance with your support.”
The updated list of songs with changed fan chants was shared, but fans quickly noticed that Heeseung’s name was removed from several chants—even on songs he worked on.
Fans quickly reacted with frustration and disappointment on social media.
“removing a member from the fanchant of a song he WORKED ON” — @lucifates
“i could understand his name not being in upcoming enha songs fanchants but to purposely erase him from songs he is part of is just cruel and disrespectful. no matter how hard you try, he is and forever will be part of enhypen cause the seven of them built this legacy together.” — @tearsforenhypen
“ENHYPEN account posting a OT7 pic for the article” — @endictator
Many fans emphasized they will continue using the original OT7 fan chants instead of the new version.
“how about NO??? we ain’t changing the fucking fanchant who the hell do you think you are deciding that? im yelling all their names ot7 tf we gonna do with ‘saranghae’??” — @heehoonfeed
“this is actually so disrespectful icl” — @haeeleeee
As the situation unfolded, the fan community remains divided, with many standing firm on keeping the original chants that include all seven members of ENHYPEN.
