Childlike Actor Transforms Image With Explicit Scene In K-Drama

Choi Woo Shik is facing controversy over a graphic sex scene in Netflix’s new K-Drama A Killer Paradox (aka Murder DIEary).
The Black comedy-thriller starring Choi Woo Shik and Son Suk Ku surprised viewers right in the very first episode. The story follows college student Lee Tang (Choi Woo Shik) who ends up killing a man in self-defense after a brutal attack. The man turns out to be a disguised serial killer, launching a tense cat-and-mouse game with detective Jang Nan Gam (Son Suk Ku).
The controversy began when Episode 1 shocked fans with a graphic, awkward sex scene featuring Choi Woo Shik lying half-naked in bed while the woman on top of him was fully naked. Viewers called the scene “unnecessary” and said it was far from sexy.
“just watched one episode of killer paradox and tell me why netflix decided to rate it as 18+ here when it should be 21+ there’s a sex scene right there like damn”

The scene didn’t ease the tension or provide comfort for the character, Lee Tang, who appeared emotionally disconnected after all the trauma. The show doesn’t shy away from tough content early on, with a shirtless shower scene later adding to the talk.
“Are you consoling yourself, knowing that it was a bad man that you killed? How cunning the human heart is, right?”

This marks a new turn for Choi Woo Shik in his acting career — stepping into darker, more mature territory that’s sparking plenty of buzz. Netflix’s mature rating might even be too low, according to some viewers.
