BIGBANG G-Dragon’s Agency Responds to Anti-Black Slur Controversy

BIGBANG G-Dragon is facing backlash after controversy erupted over a shirt he wore during an overseas performance that contained an anti-Black slur.

The controversy began when fans noticed the offensive wording on G-Dragon’s outfit at the Macau K-SPARK event on May 2nd.

Fans quickly reacted online, calling the shirt “disgusting” and accusing the artist of racism.

Soon after, Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon’s agency, issued an official apology addressing the incident.

“We sincerely apologize for including socially and culturally inappropriate wording on the artist’s performance outfit at the Macau K-SPARK event on the 2nd.”

“Through this incident, we have once again recognized the importance of more careful cultural sensitivity and responsible review. We will thoroughly review and improve our internal verification processes, including styling, to operate under more cautious standards. Going forward, we will act with greater responsibility and care to ensure that the diverse cultural backgrounds and values of global fans are respected in all activities involving our artist.”
