Well-Known Actor Spotted Acting Suspiciously While Photographing a Woman

Park Jung Min had a hilariously awkward run-in with a fan in Japan that went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The controversy began on May 10, 2026 (KST), when his YouTube channel MUZE posted a video called “We Went To Bookstores In Tokyo.” The video followed Park Jung Min during his trip for publishing work.

The actor explained he had been meeting publishers and editors in Tokyo, then took a day off to visit bookstores in Ginza.

While out, Park Jung Min shared an embarrassing story from the day before. He was walking when he spotted what looked like an election poster of a woman with a pink photo, a dog, a cat, and a QR code. Curious, he used an image translation app on the poster.

The problem?

“There was a poster of a woman, so I was taking a picture of it with an image translation app. Then someone next to me said, ‘Hello?’”

He turned to see a Korean woman with her young daughter.

The woman asked:

“Are you taking a picture of that because she’s pretty?”
— Fan

Park Jung Min scrambled to explain it wasn’t a random photo — he was just trying to translate the poster.

Then things got funnier. The woman introduced him to her daughter as the “’Good Goodbye’ uncle” referring to his viral moment with Hwasa. The little girl recognized him too.

“The child confidently said, ‘I know him too.’ So I immediately lowered my phone and saw them off. I mean… It probably looked like I was taking a picture of some woman’s face on a poster in the street.”
— Park Jung Min

What looked bad was just a funny misunderstanding caused by a translation app and bad timing.
