SEVENTEEN is preparing for a hiatus after their latest fan meetings in Japan.

On May 13, SEVENTEEN kicked off their Yakusoku fan meetings at Tokyo Dome, with shows running May 13-14 in Tokyo and May 23-24 at Kyocera Dome in Osaka.

During the live-streamed event, leader S. Coups revealed that after these fan meetings and their 10th anniversary fan meeting, the group will enter a “hiatus period.”

“This hiatus period will continue until the day we all come back,” S. Coups said.

He also promised to work hard during this break to keep fans from getting “distracted.” This strongly hints that the remaining members will enlist before the end of 2026, with a full group comeback expected in 2028.

Fans shared mixed emotions online, expressing sadness over the break but hope for SEVENTEEN’s eventual return as a complete 13-member group.

“After this fanmeeting and caratland in korea, we are going to have a hiatus period. until the day we all come back, i think that day will come faster than we expect,” a fan tweeted, confirming S. Coups’ message.

“Scoups always giving us the assurance. we will be waiting, seventeen ,” another fan wrote.

“’We are going to have a hiatus period.’ Oh my heart genuinely sank a little but at the same time, I know this was always something bound to happen bc of the members’ enlistment period. It’s definitely sad thinking about not seeing SEVENTEEN complete for a while,” one fan shared.

Members like Vernon, Mingyu, and Seungkwan are among those still needing to enlist, signaling a pause in group activities.
