Kang Ye Won is tired of being linked to plastic surgery instead of her acting.

The actress opened up on her YouTube channel in a talk with comedian Lee Se Young. She vented about always being judged for cosmetic surgeries rather than her acting skills.

Kang Ye Won said she feels upset about the constant focus on her appearance.

“I’m an actress. I want to be evaluated based on my projects and acting. But at some point, all the articles became about my epicanthoplasty surgery or plastic surgery.”

Her recent epicanthoplasty restoration surgery changed her looks so much that people don’t recognize her anymore.

“The problem is that nobody recognizes me anymore. I can walk down the street and people don’t recognize me. Even when I came to the filming set today, nobody recognized me.”

She revealed why she did the inner corner surgery. A manager told her her Mongolian fold could distract on camera during acting. Later, she felt her eyes looked too close together.
