ILLIT to hold six encore shows for ‘PRESS START♥’ tour in Korea and Japan
ILLIT will hold six encore shows for their debut tour ‘PRESS START♥’, the HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab announced on July 27 via ILLIT’s official Weverse. The decision follows strong support from their global fan community, GLLIT.
The encore series, billed as ‘ILLIT LIVE PRESS START♥ ENCORE’, opens October 17 and 18 at Inspire Arena in Incheon. It continues in Japan on December 23, 24, 26 and 27 at LaLa Arena TOKYO-BAY in Chiba.
The original ‘PRESS START♥’ tour used a game-like stage concept, presenting performances as different levels while highlighting the group’s range of musical styles. Tickets for all stops in Seoul, five Japanese cities and Hong Kong sold out quickly.
High demand prompted the release of extra standing and limited-view seats, and the Hong Kong date was expanded from one show to two. The tour now totals 15 performances across seven cities.
ILLIT released their second Japanese single, “I Got Your Back,” on July 26. The title track hit number one on the AWA Music real-time rising charts, while the B-side “Sunday Morning” reached third place.
The single includes collaborations with JISOO and MOMOKA from the popular Japanese girl group HANA. JISOO and MOMOKA made surprise appearances at ILLIT’s Tokyo concerts to perform the song together, and the live broadcast sparked an online frenzy.
To promote the release, ILLIT will appear on NHK’s music program “Utacon” on July 28 and on Fuji TV’s morning show “Mezamashi TV” on July 29. In August the group will perform at major Japanese events including the “Mezamashi WANGAN Festival” and “LuckyFes’26.”
