BTS member Jungkook’s “Standing Next to You” surpasses 1.5 billion Spotify streams
Jungkook‘s “Standing Next to You” passed 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, the platform confirmed on July 27.
Spotify reported the total for the title song from the solo album ‘GOLDEN’.
This is Jungkook’s second track to reach the 1.5 billion mark on Spotify, after “Seven.”
Released in 2023, the single has continued to attract listeners around the world.
Lyrically, the song pledges constant support, promising to stay by a loved one’s side through hardships.
Musically it updates old-school disco-funk with sleek production, bold brass lines, punchy percussion and Jungkook’s groovy vocals.
The single helped cement Jungkook’s reputation as a top dance solo artist.
His 2023 performance at TSX Entertainment in New York’s Times Square drew widespread attention for its commanding stage presence and live standing-microphone choreography.
The song debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated November 18, 2023, and remained on the chart for 19 weeks, making it Jungkook’s longest-charting solo song on the Hot 100.
In the United Kingdom it entered the Official Singles Top 100 at No. 6 and spent 11 weeks on that chart.
It was also recognized as one of the Most Performed Songs of the Year at the 2025 BMI Pop Awards.
The track earned Jungkook Top Global K-Pop Song at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards and Best Dance Performance Male Solo at the 2024 MAMA Awards.
