Accuser In Lee Yi Kyung Private Life Scandal Issues Bold New Declaration
Lee Yi Kyung is facing ongoing controversy after new statements from the accuser, known only as Person A.
The controversy began last year when Person A claimed to have exchanged vulgar messages with Lee Yi Kyung and revealed private details about his life. Lee Yi Kyung’s agency denied the claims and said they are preparing legal action against false information and malicious rumors.
On April 9, Person A posted on their personal account about why they stayed silent so far.
“The reason I haven’t made a separate statement until now is because I have been cooperating with the Korean police investigation.”
Person A explained the lengthy silence was due to the Korean legal process and concerns over personal disadvantage.
“Korean laws and procedures are different from those in other countries, and I was also concerned about potential disadvantages that could affect me. After much consideration, I decided to cooperate with the investigation to prove that this incident is true.”
They said they have submitted all evidence and shared their identity with investigators, cooperating remotely because they can’t visit Korea in person.
“I have submitted all the evidence related to the case that I currently have. I have also provided information on my identity to the investigative authorities. Considering that I cannot visit Korea in person, I am continuing cooperation with the lead investigator remotely. The investigation has been ongoing for more than a month and is taking a considerable amount of time.”
“Even if it takes time, I intend to cooperate faithfully until the end and await the results. Once the investigation is complete, I believe it will be clearly revealed through the authorities who the person involved in the provided materials is.”
“I sincerely hope the truth of this case is clearly uncovered, no matter how long it takes.”
As the situation developed last year, Lee Yi Kyung stepped down from MBC’s Hangout with Yoo and E Channel’s Brave Detectives 4 amid the backlash.
Both sides are now waiting on the police investigation that’s been ongoing for over a month.
