Actor’s Offensive Comments Spark Renewed Tensions Between Southeast Asia And Korea

The drama started when the Chinese actor made a problematic remark related to Southeast Asian people. His comment quickly reignited an online feud involving Korea and SEA after posts about “East Asia” went viral, not just focusing on China.
Korean netizens fired back, unhappy about being dragged into the controversy. Many demanded the SEA drama stay out of Korea’s name.
“Fight among yourselves. Why do you always drag Korea into it, you idiots?”
“Who even are you? Go fight at your own place.”
“Why are we suddenly being dragged into this? The best answer to Southeast Asia is to just ignore them.”
Others pointed fingers at all Northeast Asian countries for their treatment of SEA.
