ADOR Presents Demos to Court as Evidence of NJZ’s Ongoing Management, Ignites Controversy

ADOR is facing backlash after revealing new demo tracks for NJZ (NewJeans) without involvement from longtime producers Beasts And Natives Alike (BANA).

The controversy began when ADOR submitted more than five completed demo tracks to Seoul Central District Court. These MRs (instrumental tracks without vocals) were intended to prove ADOR’s ongoing efforts to manage NJZ amidst their legal battle.

During court last month, ADOR’s legal team confirmed these new songs were fresh material prepared for NJZ’s upcoming album. On October 30, the label issued a statement saying the album preparations were finished, only waiting on the group to move forward.

But fans quickly noticed BANA, the creative force behind NJZ’s hits “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” “OMG,” and “Ditto,” had no credits on these new tracks. This sparked major fan outrage, with many worrying about the quality and direction of NJZ’s music under ADOR’s current plans.

Twitter exploded with harsh reactions:

Another tiktok song produced by Bang Sihyuk and other 192746839 “song writers” with 293847839 remixes, shitty lyrics/dance, oversexualized outfits and an absurd collab? Hell nah, no thanks. Newjeans, your discography is flawless, don’t let that HYBE ruin it. PLEASE.

Meanwhile, the ongoing legal dispute took a turn on October 30 as the first court verdict favored ADOR. NewJeans immediately appealed the decision.
