Baekhyun’s ‘Essence of Reverie’ Breaks Record for Highest First-Day Sales by a K-Pop Solo Artist on Hanteo in 2025
Baekhyun, member of EXO and a successful solo artist, has achieved remarkable first-day sales for his latest album, Essence of Reverie. Released on May 19, the album sold approximately 784,000 copies, making it Baekhyun’s second-highest first-day sales, following his previous mini-album, Hello, World, which recorded around 890,000 units sold.
Additionally, Essence of Reverie now holds the record for the highest first-day sales by a K-pop solo artist in 2025. This marks Baekhyun’s fifth mini-album, featuring tracks such as "Chocolate," "Elevator," "Lemonade," "Love Comes Back," "No Problem," "Black Dreams," and "Late Night Calls."
