Then Jo Jung Suk got real about Gummy’s intense maternal love.

“In my opinion, it’s beyond average. It’s probably beyond what everyone imagines. With our first child and with our second child, I thought, ‘How can she be like this?!’ It’s not overprotective, but her love for the children overflows so much that her emotions fluctuate a lot, too. She even cries because she misses the kids.”

Gummy shared, “A lot of people asked about a third child as soon as I gave birth to our second, but my husband was the first to say that, for our sake, he didn’t think we could do that anymore.”

Jo Jung Suk explained his concern for his wife’s health.

“The children are important, too, sure. But I started thinking that my wife’s health is more important… After she gave birth to our second child, while watching her recover, I felt so bad for her that I even thought I wanted to switch bodies with her.
Women really go through so much during pregnancy and childbirth. I heard that the moment a woman gives birth, it’s as major as being in a car accident. Because of that, the thought of a third child didn’t even cross my mind.”
