Black Ocean Plans for Upcoming ENHYPEN Performance Go Viral

Heeseung is facing fan backlash after his sudden exit from ENHYPEN and missing their March 14 Hello, Melbourne festival performance.

The controversy started when it was announced on March 10 that Heeseung would no longer be part of ENHYPEN. Fans quickly protested, parking protest trucks outside HYBE and showing up at their building.

The group is still pushing forward with their schedule, but Heeseung won’t be joining them in Melbourne.

APPLEWOOD confirmed Heeseung’s absence in a Twitter notice:

In response, fans proposed a “7 minutes of silence” protest during the show. The idea is after ENHYPEN performs two songs, fans stay silent for one minute, put down lightsticks, and hold up 7s to symbolize Heeseung.

This protest idea is basically a “black ocean,” a heavy, rarely used fan protest tactic.

Many fans are against this move and voiced their disapproval online.
