BLACKPINK Fans Outraged Over ‘No View’ Seats at Goyang Concert

At BLACKPINK’s recent concert on July 5 (KST) at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium, excitement quickly turned into frustration for some fans, especially those in the N3 seating section. The long-awaited full group comeback and part of the ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR’ had fans lined up from all over the world, with tickets selling out immediately. However, a major issue arose due to a huge central screen that completely blocked the stage view for fans in these seats.

Despite being sold as general admission B section tickets priced at 132,000 KRW (about USD 98), the N3 seats ended up offering zero visibility of the actual performance. Many attendees expected a clear view, but the giant screen installation right in front of them made it impossible to see BLACKPINK on stage or enjoy key concert visuals like fireworks and drones.

One fan vented on social media platform X:
“There’s no review to give. I couldn’t see anything. It wasn’t just limited visibility—it was zero visibility.”

Another attendee expressed their disappointment:
“It’s outrageous that these seats weren’t even marked as restricted view. I paid full price and couldn’t see any fireworks, drones, or the stage. Just the top of the screen, barely.”

Nearby fans also pointed out the unfair pricing compared to other restricted view seats, saying:
“How can you charge more than restricted view seats and give us a completely blocked view? This isn’t right.”

Photos posted online confirmed the frustration, showing how the N3 section was entirely obscured by the massive screen. This sparked a strong backlash, pushing fans to call for official complaints to consumer agencies and even explore legal action.

According to South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission, if the poor visibility is the fault of event organizers, ticket holders are entitled to a full refund plus an extra 10% compensation. The Korea Consumer Agency has previously ruled in favor of refunding fans when VIP seating was downgraded due to visual obstacles. This adds weight to fans’ demands, especially since these blocked seats cost more than other restricted view tickets sold at 99,000 KRW (around USD 73).

The controversy highlights ongoing concerns about concert ticket transparency and whether audiences are properly informed about potential obstructions before buying expensive tickets. For many BLACKPINK fans who traveled and paid a premium, this overshadowed what should have been a memorable concert experience.
