BLACKPINK to Debut New Track at Goyang Concert, Launching World Tour
BLACKPINK is set to kick off their upcoming world tour this July with something special—a brand new song that they’ll perform for the very first time at their concerts in Goyang. The group’s agency, YG Entertainment, revealed on June 23 that the fresh track will debut live during the shows on July 5 and 6 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.
This new release marks BLACKPINK’s first in nearly three years, ending a gap of 2 years and 8 months. The excitement around their comeback had already been building ever since YG Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk shared the news through a "YG Announcement," drawing attention from fans worldwide.
YG explained the reasoning behind launching the song like this:
“There was a lot of discussion about how to release the new song, and we ultimately decided to unveil it first at the Goyang concert, which marks the beginning of the world tour and a symbolic moment to reconnect with the fandom.” YG Entertainment
BLACKPINK has consistently cemented their place as one of the biggest girl groups in K-POP, breaking records with every single release. Their new world tour, titled "DEADLINE," will start with the Goyang shows and then hit 16 cities across the globe, with a total of 31 concerts. Fans in major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong can look forward to seeing the girls live.
As BLACKPINK prepares to take this next big step, the anticipation couldn’t be higher for both the new music and the tour that lets them reconnect with fans around the world.
