BLACKPINK’s Jennie Debuts Solo Album ‘Ruby’ at No. 7 on Billboard 200

BLACKPINK member Jennie has made a strong solo debut on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, with her first full-length album, Ruby, landing at No. 7. The achievement marks Jennie as the third member of the group to enter the top 10 as a solo artist, following Rosé and Lisa.

Billboard announced the news in a chart preview that was released on Sunday (U.S. time). Ruby earned 56,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 26,500 of those coming from physical album sales. The Billboard 200 ranks albums based on physical sales, track-equivalent albums, and streaming-equivalent albums.

This milestone continues BLACKPINK‘s impressive track record on the Billboard charts. In 2022, the group became the first K-pop girl group to top the Billboard 200 with their second full-length album, Born Pink. Their debut album, The Album, also reached No. 2 in 2020.

Jennie’s solo success follows similar achievements by her bandmates. Rosé peaked at No. 3 with her solo project rosie, while Lisa reached No. 7 with Alter Ego.

Ruby is a 15-track album inspired by Shakespeare’s play As You Like It, exploring themes of birth, love, faith, and personal growth. Notable tracks include Jennie, Mantra, Love Hangover, ExtraL, Seoul City, Starlight, and Twin.
