BTS Fan Reports Assault, Bullying, and Threats at Concert

BTS is facing backlash after a fansite with over 265,000 followers accused the group’s security team of physical assault and verbal threats during their ongoing Arirang world tour.

The controversy began when the fansite was caught with a camera, violating the no-camera policy at BTS’s Arirang concert in Goyang Stadium. The fansite admitted to breaking the rule, fully cooperating by deleting photos and complying with removal requests.

Soon after, the fansite shared a detailed statement describing “inhumane” and “horrifying” treatment from the US security guards. They claimed the security team used extreme physical violence, including grabbing their neck, which they called a crime. The fansite also accused the guards of illegally confiscating their SD card and photographing their ID without consent, treating their private information like a trophy. They said the guards used severe verbal threats to force compliance.

“Instead of carrying out a standard and professional removal, the US security guards subjected me to insane bullying and humiliation:
Physical Assault: They resorted to extreme physical violence, including grabbing me by the neck-an act that is an outright crime in any country.
Illegal Confiscation & Privacy Violation: They forcibly confiscated my SD Card. Without my consent, they illegally photographed my ID, treating my private information like a trophy to brag about.
Intimidation & Humiliation: Using severe verbal threats to force me into complying with their malicious demands.”

Fans quickly reacted online, with many Korean netizens accusing HYBE of repeated violent behavior by their security teams against fansites. They criticized the agency for ignoring ongoing complaints and called the treatment “outright violence.”

“HYBE’s b*stards honestly never change. There have been endless complaints from the fandoms of HYBE artists, and they’ve even made the news for violent and excessive responses. Do they really think they can keep running these tour circuits with no proper content and no fansites? Get it together…”

“I already knew they were a thug company, but crossing the line like this? Who’s the one who grabbed someone by the throat? That’s straight-up assault.”
