BTS’ J-Hope Donates 200 Million Won to Seoul Asan Medical Center on His Birthday
BTS member J-Hope marked his birthday on February 18 by donating 200 million won (approximately $138,633 USD) to Seoul Asan Medical Center. The funds will support the development of children’s hospitals, with a focus on improving treatment facilities and advancing research for severe and rare pediatric diseases.

In a statement, J-Hope expressed his desire to help children in need, saying, “I hope this can bring even a small amount of help to children who are suffering at this moment. I sincerely wish for children to dream of a healthy and hopeful future.” He also credited his fans, ARMY, for inspiring his generosity, adding, “I wanted to give back to ARMY, who always shower me with love.”
This donation builds on J-Hope’s previous philanthropic efforts. In 2022, he donated 100 million won to the same medical center. He emphasized his commitment to continuing this tradition annually, starting from his birthday this year.
Seoul Asan Medical Center plans to allocate the funds to enhance medical environments for pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as support research into severe and rare childhood illnesses. J-Hope’s ongoing contributions highlight his dedication to using his platform for meaningful social impact.
