BTS Jimin Makes HistoryBTSJimin has solidified his status as a global music powerhouse, becoming the first and only K-pop soloist to have nine songs each surpass 200 million streams on Spotify as of January 31, 2025. This remarkable achievement further cements his position as one of the most influential artists in the industry.

Jimin’s journey to this milestone has been nothing short of extraordinary. In February 2023, he made history as the first Korean soloist to have four songs exceed 200 million streams each on Spotify. These tracks include Lie, Serendipity, Filter, and With You, the latter being an OST for the hit Korean drama Our Blues, featuring a collaboration with Ha Sungwoon.

BTS Jimin Makes History

The BTS star continued to break records in 2024. His single WHO, released on July 19, 2024, as the title track of his second solo album MUSE, became his eighth song to hit 200 million streams. Notably, WHO achieved this feat in just 20 days, setting a new record as the fastest track by a K-pop solo artist to reach this milestone.

In December 2024, Jimin added another achievement to his growing list with Smeraldo Garden Marching Band, which surpassed 200 million streams, marking his ninth song to do so. Released on June 28, 2024, the track had already made waves earlier in the year by becoming the fastest K-pop song to reach 50 million streams in just nine days.

Additionally, VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS), a collaboration with BIGBANG’s Taeyang, also crossed the 200 million stream mark, bringing the total number of Jimin-associated tracks with this achievement to ten. However, it’s important to note that VIBE is a feature track from Taeyang’s 2023 EP Down to Earth.

His sophomore album, MUSE, dropped on July 19, 2024, and featured seven tracks that delved into themes of love, fantasy, and emotional freedom. Collaborations with artists like Loco (Smeraldo Garden Marching Band) and Sofia Carson (Slow Dance) added diverse musical flavors to the project. Both albums topped international charts and amassed millions of streams across platforms like Spotify and Melon.
