BTS Jin Surprises RM and V on Their Discharge Day

BTS‘s RM and V officially returned to civilian life on June 10, wrapping up their mandatory military service. To celebrate, Jin made a surprise cameo during their live session on Weverse, catching fans and his bandmates off guard with a playful entrance that instantly lightened the mood.

The live broadcast started around noon KST, where RM and V greeted fans after their discharge. Out of nowhere, Jin popped in wearing a red ribbon on his head and jokingly said,

“Congratulations on your discharge. I’m your present,” Jin

His lightheartedness brought smiles to everyone tuning in.

During the chat, Jin turned to V and asked,

“What are you going to do now?” Jin

V replied with a straightforward plan,

“I’ve had enough rest, so I think it’s time to start doing something.” V

Later, Jin handed over a bouquet to the duo and inquired about J-Hope’s whereabouts, asking,

“J-Hope didn’t come, right?” Jin

RM and V answered,

“He came and went.” RM and V

Looking back at their service, RM and V enlisted together in December 2023 but served in different units. RM was part of the military band of the 15th Infantry Division in Hwacheon, while V was assigned to the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Army’s 2nd Corps in Chuncheon. Both completed their full military duties on June 10.

With this, the lineup of BTS members who have completed military service grows. Jin and J-Hope were discharged earlier, making RM and V the fourth and fifth members to return. The remaining members are Jimin and Jungkook, who are set to be discharged the following day, June 11. Suga, meanwhile, is still carrying out his duties as a public service worker and is expected to finish his service by June 21.
