BTS’s Jin Shares Experience of Being Scammed During Lie Detector Test
BTS member Jin recently opened up about an experience that might surprise some fans—he’s actually been scammed before. This revelation came during a lie detector test he did for Vanity Fair’s YouTube channel, where he answered questions honestly, albeit with some nervousness.
Jin admitted feeling anxious during the shoot, explaining,
"I’m nervous because it’s my first time doing a shoot in such a serious atmosphere." Jin
Before his debut, Jin shared that he had received casting offers from various agencies. However, his initial reaction was one of skepticism.
"I don’t trust people easily. And because of that, I usually don’t get deceived," Jin
Despite his usual caution, he revealed that it wasn’t impossible for him to be tricked. Specifically, Jin talked about getting scammed while playing online games.
"I used to play a lot of games, and I got scammed in several of them," Jin said. "I bought items with real money, but the other person said, ‘I’m just going to take your money and run,’ and they did."
This story highlights that even someone as cautious as Jin can fall victim to online fraud. The BTS member also recalled a time when someone actually thought he was the scammer.
"It happened once a long time ago. I had lost my phone and was trying to reintroduce myself to someone, but they hung up saying, ‘This isn’t the right number.’" Jin
Thankfully, Jin usually keeps track of his belongings well.
"I don’t usually lose my belongings," Jin added.
This mix of anecdotes shows a human side of Jin that fans don’t often get to see — cautious but not invincible, and willing to share his more vulnerable moments.
