BTS’s Jin Wraps Up ‘Run Jin’ with Gratitude for Fans and Unexpected Tour Announcement
Jin from BTS has recently concluded his solo variety show, ‘Run Jin’, with its final episode airing on May 27 KST. This series served as a heartfelt gesture for the ARMY, demonstrating his dedication to doing “anything and everything” for his fans.
Throughout the episodes, Jin embraced a variety of thrilling activities—ranging from scaling Mount Halla and training alongside coastguards to confronting his fears in haunted houses, practicing gymnastics, fencing, and even tackling action stunts. His impressive athletic feats earned him the playful nickname of “a sports talent stolen by K-pop,” which resonated with viewers.
Fans particularly appreciated Jin’s genuine charm, his warm exchanges with guests, and his trademark humor; these qualities made ‘Run Jin’ a beloved series worldwide.
Reflecting on the show’s end, Jin expressed through BIGHIT MUSIC his thoughts on its impact: >“After being discharged from the military, I thought long and hard about how I could show myself to fans as quickly as possible—and that’s how this content began. There were tough moments, but I also discovered sides of myself I hadn’t known before, which made it all worthwhile.”
He continued, >“I’m grateful to the guests, the crew, and above all, the ARMY who supported ‘Run Jin’ and helped it last this long. Thanks to your love, filming was always fun.”
In a special video message during the finale, J-Hope praised Jin, stating, >“Hyung always thinks about the fans first. Even in difficult moments, he gives his all and blends naturally into unfamiliar environments. That’s Jin-hyung. You did great. I love you.”
An interesting post-credits scene hinted at Jin’s forthcoming fan concert tour, titled #RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. This tour is set to be a continuation of the ‘Run Jin’ experience, emphasizing Jin’s desire to connect directly with his global fanbase.
The tour is scheduled to commence on June 28-29 at the Goyang Sports Complex in Korea, followed by 18 performances across nine cities, which include Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, and Newark in the U.S., along with stops in London and Amsterdam in Europe.
On top of all this excitement, Jin’s second mini album, Echo, which was released on June 16th, is currently making waves on global music charts, solidifying his position as a formidable solo artist in the K-pop landscape.
