Chaeyoung Reveals She Nearly Left TWICE Amid Their Meteoric Rise

Chaeyoung from TWICE revealed she nearly quit her idol career due to brutal schedules and lack of sleep.
The controversy began with Chaeyoung talking on the SPNS TV podcast about how hard it was juggling school and nonstop promotions during their rookie years.
She said she regularly got only 30 minutes to 3 hours of sleep daily for a whole month during the “Cheer Up” and “TT” eras. It was so rough that she seriously wanted to quit.

Her exhaustion led to fights with her mom, but eventually her mom convinced her to keep going.
“My mom said, ‘Isn’t it a waste that you trained so hard for three and a half years and now you’re not even doing anything?’”

This made Chaeyoung reconsider quitting and push through the tough times.
Back in early days, Chaeyoung had to juggle school with TWICE promotion activites. Cheer Up and TT was the busiest and the toughest time for her, she even thought of quitting cause she felt like she couldn’t do this (being in TWICE) anymore.
